ANCESTRY: Descended from Warinus de la Strode (born 1020 in Bretagne, France), a French knight who lived at the time of William the Conqueror
ANCESTRY: 6th Great-Grandchild of John Mildenhall Jr. (born 1560), the only Englishmen to visit both royal courts of the Emperors Akbar and Jahangir, and the first Englishmen to be buried in India

OCCUPATION: Jacob and his brother, Joseph, went to Arkansas sometime in the 1840's. By 1850 Jacob was living near Russellville. They later moved to the Jenny Lind area of Sebastian County, near Greenwood and Ft. Smith. They were dairy farmers. Jacob lived on a 40 acre farm near New Jenny Lind, on land adjoining the Talkingtons and Nelchs.
DEATH: Jacob died relatively young, leaving his wife with six children to raise. A year after his death the probate court granted his wife's petition to appoint Joseph as guardian of their surviving children.

Jacob married Eliza Lavina HARKEY in 1847 in Pope County, Arkansas. (Eliza Lavina HARKEY was born on 17 Jun 1830 in Concord, North Carolina, died on 23 Dec 1888 in Jenny Lind, Sebastian County, Arkansas and was buried in Jenny Lind, Sebastian County, Arkansas.)
