General Notes:
IMMIGRATION: Records of the Port of Philadelphia list Johannes Albrecht and his wife Anna Barbara (maiden name not listed) as Palatine passengers of the "Johnson Galley" which arrived from Rotterdam on September 18, 1732.
The ages of the five children on arrival were: Matelina-16 (she was mistakenly listed as "under 14"), Barbara-13, Christian-6, Jacob-5, and Lodawick-10 months who was born November 11, 1731 in Ruttenberg, Germany.
NOTES: Also known as Magadelena. Daughter of Johannes Albrecht and Anna Gossauer. Wife of Philip Faust m. abt. 1736 Berks Co, PA.
Her tombstone reads, "This is the resting place of Magdalena Faust b. 1716, d. 1789. Age 73 years, 6 months, and three days. She lived in marriage 48 years. Produced 10 children, of which 8 are yet living namely, 4 sons and 4 daughters."
Magdalen's (Mary) name was written as Matelina in the ship's list of Johannes Albrecht's children found in Strassburger's Volume I. Mrs. F.N. Peters, a family historian of Arlington, Virginia, found among her notes that the name Matelina means Magdalene just as Johannes and Hans mean John, and that the name Matelina appears quite often amongst the Clapps, Fousts and Albrights.
