NOTEWORTHY: After the murder of two of his brothers (Thomas and Nathan), Joseph tracked the Jawhawk killers to their campsite and shot them. About 1880, Joseph and his family moved to Cowlington, OK which was at that time Indian Territory. They later moved to Pittsburg County, OK. DEATH: Joseph died of a lung and throat ailment at the home of his niece, Abbie McKaughan.
