Kathleen, granddaughter of Thomas and Harriette Gore [founders of Gore's Landing, Ontario], often returned to her former home, Glenavy, as a guest. She wrote in 1895, 'my heart is always more or less at Rice Lake and the never-to-be-forgotten days spent there.'
