Captain William McIntosh, a Loyalist during the American Revolutionary War, had worked with the Creek Indians to recruit them as military allies to the British.

His son became Chief White Warrior, one of the most prominent chiefs of the Creek Nation between the turn of the nineteenth century and the time of Creek removal to Indian Territory. He was one of 9 Creek chiefs who signed the Treaty of Indian Springs in 1825.
