Her husband was "Red Eagle" William Weatherford, Chief of the Wind Clan (Hutalgalgi) of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, who famously battled and then surrendered to Colonel Andrew Jackson at Fort Toulouse (Fort Jackson) during the Creek War.
