John Samuel FREEMAN
John was the son of Samuel and Mary Freeman. He was first married to Annis Harding and they had 9 children. He married second to Nancy Cypert and they had 6 children. His death was listed in The Mountain Echo on Friday, Feb 26, 1897. The notice stated that he lived near the mouth of Crooked Creek, since about 1870. One source indicates he was buried at Freeman Cemetery in Stone County. Another source indicates he was buried in Rea Valley, Marion County, Arkansas.
