General Notes: John was the son of Samuel and Mary Freeman. He was first married to Annis Harding and they had 9 children. He married second to Nancy Cypert and they had 6 children. His death was listed in The Mountain Echo on Friday, Feb 26, 1897. The notice stated that he lived near the mouth of Crooked Creek, since about 1870. One source indicates he was buried at Freeman Cemetery in Stone County. Another source indicates he was buried in Rea Valley, Marion County, Arkansas. Research Notes: Find A Grave, Memorial # 142061600 John married Nancy. (Nancy was born in 1842 in Tennessee and died in 1881 in Rea Valley, Marion County, Arkansas.) John next married Annis HARDING. (Annis HARDING was born on 25 Jun 1822 in Chocowinity, Beaufort County, North Carolina, died on 29 Nov 1862 in Tomahawk, Searcy County, Arkansas and was buried in Tomahawk Baptist Church Cemetery, Searcy County, Arkansas.) |
