NOTES: FLORANCE GENETTE "NETTIE" KNAPP was the daughter of LUCIUS H. KNAPP and ELIZABETH (PATTERSON) KNAPP. Her father Lucius died in the Civil War. Union Soldier. He was killed in action at the Battle of Missionary Ridge. Her mother Elizabeth died shortly after Lucius. Florance was raised by her Grand Uncle STEPHEN M. NASH and her great grandmother LOVINA (ALLERTON) NASH. DAVID PATTERSON (her Grandfather) also helped raise her as did HENRY KNAPP (her paternal Grandfather) who has sister MARTHA "MATTIE" KNAPP in his household. Florance married 1st THOMAS G. HOGUE on 24 March 1881 in Mottville, St Joseph, Michigan. She and Thomas had children: - Ada Belle Hogue - Harry Albert Hogue - Clyde Stephen Hogue - Fred Alva Hogue - Leslie Aaron Hogue - Frank Raymond Hogue - Louis Arthur "Louie" Hogue - Guy Harold Hogue - Gladys Mae Hogue After the death of Thomas Hogue, Florance married 2nd GEORGE MITCHEL ANDERSON.
