  General Notes:

Ruby Somers Walker, 96, of 390 Camp Springs Rd. Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday February 23, 2012 at her home. Graveside service was conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 26, 2012 in Camp Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Eunice McKinney Somers and had lived most of her life in Caswell County. She and her late husband George W. "Gee" Walker, Jr. operated Walker's General Merchandise and Welding for many years. She attended Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and cooking Sunday lunches for her family. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband: George W. "Gee" Walker, Jr., son-in-laws: Allen Wright and Hillman Jones, sisters: Edna S. Manley, Louise S. Wagoner, brothers: Wilbur "Boss" Somers, and Grant Somers.

Surviving: son: George Weldon Walker, III and wife Kathy of Kernersville, NC, daughters: Lugene W. Wright of Reidsville, NC, Jenell W. Jones of Reidsville, NC, Rachel W. Boone and husband Ronnie of Siler City, NC, sister: Olgie S. Anderson of Hillsborough, NC, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. The family saw friends 7:00 till 9:00 P.M. Saturday February 25, 2012 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times were at the residence 390 Camp Springs Rd. Reidsville, NC.
