SPOUSE: Her husband of 59 years, "Hoover" Smith preceded her in death in 2009.
CHILDREN: She was the mother to a son, Guy Hoover Smith and his wife Carla; a daughter, Connie Smith Rogers and husband, John. There are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
