Bessie Stanley Zachary (Mays) was a native of Caswell County NC, the daughter of Dora Bell Stanley and James H. Stanley. She was the spouse of Clifton Walker Zachary; mother of Shelia Eubanks; grandmother of Jessica and Adam Eubanks and sister of Henry 'Sonny Boy' Stanley, seven sisters and one other brother.

Bessie was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Bessie loved life and was a very active resident at Cedar Ridge participating in various activities including Bingo and Rook.
