General Notes: NOTE: It's believed her birth father was killed by Indians and her birth mother died soon thereafter. It's also believed that the Indians took her and raised her. However, as a young child, the Reverand James Davenport of Pennington, New Jersey (and his wife, whose last name was Paine), adopted Deliverance by purchasing her from the Indians.
