  General Notes:

NOTE: It's believed her birth father was killed by Indians and her birth mother died soon thereafter. It's also believed that the Indians took her and raised her. However, as a young child, the Reverand James Davenport of Pennington, New Jersey (and his wife, whose last name was Paine), adopted Deliverance by purchasing her from the Indians. Deliverance married William I. PAISLEY Jr., son of William I. PAISLEY Sr. and Eleanor "Nellie" McLEAN, on 20 Sep 1763 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The marriage ended in divorce. (William I. PAISLEY Jr. was born on 23 Dec 1741 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died on 22 Sep 1822 in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina and was buried in Alamance Church Yard, Guilford County, North Carolina.)
