BIRTH: Many family trees list his birth in 1742, making him 9 years old when he married Barbara in 1751. According to the Clapp Family History, he was born on 20 FEB 1727 or 1728, which puts him at 23 or 24 years old when he married, which makes more sense.
MARRIAGE: There appear to be two women named Barbara Marie Clapp. He married his first cousin Barbara Marie Clapp, both having the same grandfather (Johann Jost Klapp).
